Saw someone post an unsourced image with "the Great Lakes' real names", so just a reminder that there are lots of Indigenous languages and the many different nations have called them different things at different times.

Also, in general but especially, as I understand, regarding Indigenous knowledge, it is important to say *who* you learned something from.

Lippert also notes in comments, "The Anishinaabemowin on this map is shown written in 'Southern' Fiero-Nichols orthography, with more western 'Ojibwe' bias."

(Without getting specific enough to dox myself, I grew up near Anishinaabe communities and Anishinaabemowin is the language I don't know but can at least recognize, and which is often used here)

Can you believe that NetBSD 6.0.X shipped (in 2013) with broken non-blocking sockets and of course someone managed to run a modern libcurl on that and... yeps, got into trouble.

'It's my partner's parrot.
His dad got him, then when he died 12 years ago, my parnter's been taking care of him. He is now getting evicted from his flat in Glasgow and struggling to find somewhere to host. The timeframe unfortunately is unclear. I'd say a couple of weeks at least 🤷‍♀️'
